STATEMENT OF THE NATIONAL CITIZENS’ INITIATIVE Yerevan—The National Citizens' Initiative (NCI) condemns the actions of the the ruling regime, which has placed itself beyond the law in terrorizing and unlawfully hunting down citizens who participate in the peaceful protest rallies against the falsified referendum. Any illegitimate conduct by the authorities, including the use of police force, will be met by our relevant reaction. To this end, a team comprising legal defenders, human rights advocates, NGOs, and media representatives will commence its activities as of today. The National Citizens' Initiative calls upon all those citizens who have become victims of police misconduct in connection
with their attendance at the public assemblies peacefully protesting the fraudulent passage of the referendum immediately to visit NCI at 75 Yerznkian Street, Yerevan, or to call 271-600. December 6, 2005
